Overview

North Carolina Central University welcomes the presence and matriculation of minors on our campus every day. These young people are part of our academic programs and activities, athletic programs, summer camps, the Josephine Dobbs Clement Early College High School and the Child Development Laboratory. As NCCU employees or affiliates, we all bear a special responsibility for their care and protection.

Reporting Suspected Abuse and Maltreatment of Minors

As a steward of the University, we all need to act immediately when we reasonably suspect a minor on our campus may be at risk. We have policies and regulations that govern those actions. These regulations form an individual duty for members of the North Carolina Central University community who interact with, supervise, chaperone or otherwise oversee minors in programs or activities at the University or sponsored by the University to report immediately if they have reasonable cause to suspect abuse or maltreatment of individuals under the age of 18.
