About
Serving children aged 2 and 10 months (34 months) to five years old, we are a five-star preschool accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The Child Development Laboratory (CDL), housed on the campus of North Carolina Central University, is led by highly qualified educators.
Our lead teachers have bachelor degrees with numerous years of experience in early childhood. Our literacy coach/assistant teacher has an associate degree and a wealth of experience teaching young children. The director has an A.S., a B.S., an M.S., Level III administrator credentials and over 14 years of experience, and is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in early childhood.
The CDL offers a state-of-the-art program with enriched academics and extra-curricular experiences that include 3D printing and coding, music lessons by a certified music instructor, textile and design experiences, literacy enrichment, and much more. Our mission is to assist children with social, emotional, physical language and cognitive development in a fun, healthy, and safe environment at an affordable rate.
We strive to provide learning inside of the classroom and extensions of learning outside of the classroom, ensuring that every child is prepared for kindergarten. We create an environment in which all children are comfortable, loved and taught while providing learning experiences that they will never forget. Please call today to schedule a tour and enroll while spaces are available. We cannot wait for you to join our NCCU Child Development Laboratory family!
