The Policies, Regulations and Rules website at North Carolina Central University is a central repository for all of the University's policies, regulations and rules (PRRs). NCCU policies and regulations that support campus safety include the following:
- Sexual Misconduct Policy (POL 01.04.4): All members of the NCCU community are encouraged to report alleged sexual misconduct as soon as they are able in order to maximize the University’s ability to respond and provide support.
- Student Code of Conduct (POL 40.13.1): This policy explains the standards of behavior expected of all students at NCCU, along with information about disciplinary procedures, hearing procedures and judicial actions.
- Weapons on Campus Regulation (REG 01.03.1): Except under very narrow circumstances, it is a violation of State criminal law and University policy for anyone—faculty, staff, student, or visitor—to possess or carry a weapon on the campus of NCCU.
- Policy on Illegal Drugs (POL 40.01.3): The possession, distribution, delivery, manufacture and use of illegal drugs is prohibited. NCCU shall take necessary and appropriate actions to eliminate illegal drugs from the University community.
- Medical Amnesty Regulation (REG 40.01.4): Students may ask for and receive a caring medical intervention related to the consumption or use of alcohol or drugs that will not result in disciplinary action.
- Procedures for Complaints of Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation (REG 80.04.1): All members of the NCCU community should use these procedures to file complaints of discrimination, harassment and retaliation based on an individual’s protected status.
- Security Cameras Regulation (REG 01.03.2): The University, through its Police Department, has established procedures to provide transparency in the use of security camera systems to achieve a safe and secure campus environment.
- Fitness for Duty Policy (POL 80.05.1): NCCU supports its commitment to remaining a safe workplace by maintaining these procedures for requiring a medical exam of employees who may pose an immediate and direct threat to themselves, others or property.
- Protection of Minors on Campus Regulation (REG 80.07.1): NCCU has established these regulations, standards and procedures specifically designed to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all minors who are visiting campus or participating in University programs.
