Program Learning Outcomes

The following represents the program learning outcome (PLO) maps. There are two maps. The first map represents all undergraduate classes taught and the faculty assessment of which PLOs are represented through the assignments given to students in the classes. The second map represents the classes identified as part of the yearly assessment plan for the department.

PLO1: Explain the roles, functions, and processes of the criminal justice system both orally and in writing.
PLO2: Evaluate competing theoretical frameworks underlying the prevalence and prevention of delinquency, crime, and victimization.
PLO3: Propose professional recommendations to a given scenario based on a set of given social attributes.
PLO4: Answer social science research questions with the most appropriate methodology.
