NCCU’s Office of Community Engagement and Service (OCES) supports students in meeting their community engagement academic requirements. We encourage philanthropy leaders of the organization to coordinate service projects with a non-profit organization registered with OCES.
All service projects must follow CDC, state, and University guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Service projects must have direct or virtual service contact with an organization on or off campus. The activity must result in a direct or virtual encounter and a benefit to the community organization.
- Project proposals must be submitted to OCES three (3) weeks in advance. OCES staff will contact the organization two weeks before the event to indicate approval and service credits that can be granted for the event.
