Update from NCCU (March 27, 2023)

The North Carolina Central University (NCCU) Police Department received a call at approximately 3:50 p.m. today, March 27, 2023, reporting a social media post indicating a threat to campus. A student has been arrested by Campus Police in connection to this incident. Campus Police has determined that there is no credible threat to the campus and has issued an all clear.

All classes, activities and events scheduled for Tuesday, March 28, 2023 will be held as planned. All campus facilities will be open.

Students, faculty and staff are advised that NCCU takes all threats received by the campus very seriously, and will vigorously investigate and prosecute as warranted.

All campus community members are encouraged to be vigilant in your daily activities. If you see or notice something suspicious, please notify Campus Police by calling 919-530-6106 or emailing [email protected].
