The Elementary Education Program blends coursework and field experience, which allows students to develop the skills required for leading elementary classrooms and providing exemplary instructional programs within diverse cultural and educational environments. Students also are provided techniques for designing innovative learning environments and building effective relationships.

The NCCU School of Education offers additional degree programs in school administration; community education; career and school counseling; communication disorders; higher education administration and five concentrations in the field of special education.
