Sandra F. Powers Appointed Executive Assistant to NCCU Chancellor Karrie G. Dixon

North Carolina Central University (NCCU) has appointed Sandra F. Powers executive assistant to NCCU Chancellor Karrie G. Dixon, effective July 1, 2024.

Powers joins NCCU from Elizabeth City State University (ECSU), where she has served as the executive assistant to ECSU Chancellor Dixon since 2020. Powers has nearly three decades of administrative support experience in various roles.  Her years of service have equipped her with exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, allowing her to effectively support the university's mission.  Sandra holds a bachelor’s degree from East Coast Bible College.

In her personal life, Sandra is blessed with a loving husband, Jonathan, and two children: a son, Jonathan, who currently serves in the United States Coast Guard, and a daughter, Mya, a recent high school graduate and an upcoming freshman at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington.
