Renaming of NCCU McLean Residence Hall Survey

NCCU Community: 

The North Carolina Central University administration invites members of the university community to express their opinion on the matter of renaming the Angus M. McLean Residence Hall ("McLean Residence Hall"). McLean Residence Hall is named after former N.C. Governor Angus M. McLean.

Dr. Jerry Gershenhorn, Julius L. Chambers Professor of History at NCCU, has prepared materials on the documented official history of Governor Angus McLean and background on the McLean Residence Hall. These materials are available here for your review:

Please respond to this survey by 6 p.m. ET on May 26, 2022. Results from the survey will be presented to the NCCU Board of Trustees at their next meeting on June 22, 2022. A public forum will also be held and details are forthcoming.
