NCCU’s 137th Commencement Exercises Rescheduled Due to Inclement Weather

Both Ceremonies Moved to May 8

North Carolina Central University (NCCU) has rescheduled its 137th Commencement Exercises due to the inclement weather forecast for today, Friday, May 7, 2021. The Graduate and Professional Ceremony will be held at 12 p.m., on Saturday, May 8, 2021. The Baccalaureate Ceremony will proceed as scheduled at 8 a.m., on May 8. Both ceremonies will take place in O’Kelly-Riddick Stadium.

To maintain a safe and healthy environment and ensure adherence to local, state and CDC COVID-19 guidelines and social distancing in a venue with limited capacity, the 2021 Commencement Exercises will be limited to graduates, university officials, platform participants and individuals working during the events. 

Both ceremonies will stream live on the university’s websiteFacebook page and YouTube channel.
