North Carolina Central University (NCCU) raised $1,141,861 during its 2025 Day of Giving, held April 1–2. This is the highest amount ever raised through the university’s annual giving campaign.
NCCU’s previous highest amount raised was more than $1.02 million during its 2022 Day of Giving. Contributions in 2025 ranged from first-time student donors to loyal alumni and corporate partners.
The generosity of donors during the 24-hour fundraiser will directly benefit student scholarships, academic programs, campus improvements and student success initiatives.
“This year’s Day of Giving demonstrated the unwavering commitment of our Eagle community,” said Dr. Karrie G. Dixon, chancellor of NCCU. “Because of their support, we are able to continue transforming lives through education and ensure that our students are equipped to lead, serve, and soar.”

Hester, vice chancellor for the Division of Institutional Advancement. “Their generosity enables us to enhance the educational experience for our students and create lasting opportunities for future Eagles.”
