MBA, counseling and nursing programs recognized
North Carolina Central University’s (NCCU) online programs are receiving national recognition for affordability and academic excellence.
The university’s online MBA program has been ranked No. 17 among the top 40 most affordable programs in the nation by College Consensus, and No. 3 in the state of North Carolina.
College Consensus evaluated educational excellence and affordability by combining rankings from U.S. News & World Report, Forbes, The Financial Times, Bloomberg Businessweek and The Economist. The rankings are based on the base tuition cost for the entire MBA program, excluding fees, books or travel expenses. The affordability score highlights how each program compares in terms of cost.
NCCU’s online MBA program offers a cutting-edge, AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) -accredited curriculum designed to prepare future leaders. The program allows students to specialize in data analytics, hospitality management or marketing, giving them the flexibility to tailor their education to their career goals—all from the comfort of their home.

In addition to the MBA program’s success, NCCU’s online and hybrid health programs have also received high marks. EDUMed, a resource for students interested in nursing and allied health, ranked several of NCCU’s programs among the best in the nation and state.

EduMed’s rankings are based on the latest data from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), assessing factors such as the number of online programs offered, tuition costs, student-to-faculty ratios and institutional financial aid.
The university offers three online counseling degree programs at the graduate level – career counseling, clinical mental health counseling and school counseling.
NCCU’s online counseling degree programs offer graduate-level training in career counseling, clinical mental health counseling, and school counseling, providing students with the expertise needed to thrive in their respective fields. The nursing program is bolstered by a partnership with Project Kitty Hawk, an ed-tech startup supporting UNC System universities in serving adult learners.
NCCU Online offers a range of bachelor’s and master’s degrees, as well as certificates in disciplines ranging from criminal justice to digital librarianship.
