Her leadership in student development, budget management, and first-year experience programming has significantly contributed to the success and retention of incoming Eagles.

Beyond her contributions to NCCU, Fletcher has amassed a diverse professional background in higher education administration, career services, and student development. Prior to joining NCCU, she served as:

  • Assistant director of professional and career services at Living Arts College, where she led career counseling, internship placement, and employer engagement efforts.

  • Training and implementation project assistant at Duke University’s National Center for Child Traumatic Stress, coordinating departmental activities and professional development workshops for faculty and staff.

  • Emergency department registration coordinator at Duke University Medical Center, assisting with administrative support and patient coordination.

  • Human resources and staffing manager at Robert Half International, where she specialized in talent acquisition and recruitment strategies.

As director of New Student and Family Programs, Fletcher will oversee all aspects of new student transition and family engagement, ensuring that incoming students and their families have a seamless and welcoming introduction to the NCCU community. Her broad expertise in student success, event planning, budget management, and strategic leadership will continue to enhance the first-year experience at NCCU.

Please join us in congratulating Crystal Fletcher on her appointment! We look forward to her continued contributions to NCCU and the success of our new Eagles.
