Joshua E. Richardson is a library-trained health informatician and research scientist at RTI International as well as an adjunct Assistant Professor at Rush University Medical Center (Chicago, IL). He has 15 years of informatics experience and has applied qualitative methods to understand knowledge management practices for clinical decision support technologies as well as to determine the barriers and facilitators to implementing and adopting electronic health records in clinical workflows. In addition to his research, Dr. Richardson has taught evidence-based medicine concepts and techniques to clinicians and medical students while he was Assistant Library Director for Clinical Services at Weill Cornell Medicine (2013-2015). He is currently a member of the MCBK Trust and Policy Work Group and has co-led related efforts since its inception.
