Christopher Shaffer is a university librarian, assistant vice chancellor for Academic Information Management, and an adjunct professor, Department of Medicine, at the University of California, San Francisco. Previously, he was a university librarian and associate professor at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) for nine years. Chris is the current president of the Association of Academic Health Sciences Libraries, a distinguished member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals and a former board member of the Medical Library Association. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Texas A&M University and an M.S. in Information Science from the University of North Texas.
