Eagle General Hospital
Clinical Learning Resource Center
NCCU’s Clinical Learning Resource Center (CLRC), also referred to as Eagle General Hospital, facilitates support skills lab training, remediation, and simulation experiences.
The CLRC provides resources and a variety of experiential learning opportunities that will prepare students for clinical practice. Simulations are offered in several locations to accommodate the department’s high volume of students. Simulations are threaded throughout the nursing curriculum, from Fundamentals to higher-level Adult Health courses, and are also integrated into specialty courses such as Maternity, Pediatrics, and Mental Health. NCCU utilizes 14 state-of-the-art, high-fidelity simulators to enhance student learning. As a part of this inventory, Eagle General Hospital also includes a variety of partial task trainers. Each of these activities helps students develop psychomotor and clinical thinking skills that are essential for clinical reasoning—the heart of safe and effective nursing practice.
