Capital Projects Management

North Carolina Central University is growing! There are changes taking place on our campus as a result of three capital projects. We have launched construction of a new Student Center that is being paid for by student debt service fees, along with a new School of Business, which is supported with $30 million from the Connect NC Bond and an additional $8.6 million from the North Carolina State Legislature.

Three new residential buildings (George Street Residence Hall, Lawson Street Residence Hall, and Chidley South Residence Hall) are being constructed through a public-private partnership, or P3, to expand housing capacity at North Carolina Central University.
