To be registered as a student for the fall semester, you must pay your tuition and fees in full or make payment arrangements with the Office of Student Accounting. You can also find your tuition bill by signing into your My Eagle Online (myEOL) account and accessing the Banner 9 Student Self-Service link. Student must pay at least one-half of their total charges prior to the drop/add date listed on the academic calendar to avoid being dropped from their classes.
Law students must have health insurance before starting classes. Students who do not have health insurance may accept the student health insurance plan offered by the University. Students who already have health insurance may opt out of the University’s student health insurance plan.
Classes usually begin mid-August, and first-year orientation is typically the week prior to the start of classes.
The law school registrar makes the first-year student section assignments and creates the class schedules. Your class schedule will be available in your myEOL account (through Banner 9) at the start of orientation.
You can buy books at the University bookstore. Wait until your classes appear in your myEOL account (in Banner 9) before you purchase your books.
There may be homework assignments for the first day of classes. Your professor will inform you of where those assignments will be placed.
You will receive information about how to obtain your Eagle Card before orientation. The Eagle Card Office provides students, faculty, and staff with a “one card” that gives the card holder access to a variety of campus services and facilities.
You must request a deferment in writing as soon as possible before July 1. Send the request to the assistant dean of Admissions at [email protected]. Deferments are granted on a case-by-case basis.
On-campus housing is available to law students, and more information will be provided about the graduate student housing during the Spring semester. View a list of off-campus housing options in the area.
