Our team acts as the backbone and infrastructure for Advancement Services by gathering, organizing, managing and disseminating information to guide sound and effective business decisions. We are also responsible for the integrity and maintenance of the database and reporting system.

Prospect Management

Prospect Management seeks to identify potential donors and discover indicators of prospects’ interests, as well as their willingness and capacity to give. We collect, evaluate, analyze, organize and disseminate publicly available information to fundraising professionals in support of the University’s development efforts.

Giving Societies, Levels and Benefits (Starting July 1, 2021)

​​​​​Crystal Eagle: $1 million and above

Invitation to a private dinner with the Chancellor where they are presented with a crystal eagle to commemorate their $1 million or more gift or pledge, among other additional benefits.

Centennial Club: $100,000–$999,999 

One-on-one engagement with the Chancellor, among other additional benefits.

Living Legacy: $25,000–$99,999 

Invitation to all donor events throughout the year and acknowledgment on video screens and Apogee TV across campus, among other additional benefits.

Visionary Circle: $10,000–$24,999 

Invitation to all Chancellor’s Donor Receptions throughout the year, including regional events and the Reunion and Homecoming weekend, among other additional benefits.

Chancellor's Club: $5,000– $9,999 

Invitation to the Chancellor’s Donor Reception during Reunion and Homecoming week and the Chancellor’s Tailgate Tent during Homecoming, among other additional benefits.

Shepard’s Court: $1,000–$4,999 

Donors who make a gift of $2,500 and above will receive an invitation to the Chancellor’s Tailgate Tent during Homecoming. All donors in the Shepard’s Court will receive acknowledgment in the donor honor roll on the website, among other additional benefits.

Note: Young undergraduate and graduate alumni (1–5 years out) may become a member of the Shepard’s Court by making a gift of $500 ($42 per month).

No, your class gift is counted regardless of where it is given.

If your gift is sent directly to NC Central Advancement Services and recorded in our database, it is counted. There are some caveats.

  1. You must decline benefits.
  2. Your gifts cannot be sent directly to the NCCU Foundation.
  3. Your gifts cannot be sent to an associated entity and forwarded to NC Central.
