About the Teaching Artist Tuesdays Webinar Series
In partnership with North Carolina Central University’s Teaching Artist Certificate Program, the North Carolina Arts Council began an online workshop series in Summer 2020–Fall 2020, entitled Teaching Artist Tuesdays.
The free online workshops serve as a map for this state’s teaching artists as they navigate the COVID-19 landscape. Sharon Hill, arts education director for the North Carolina Arts Council, and Lenora Helm Hammonds, director of North Carolina Central University’s Teaching Artist Certificate Program, curated and facilitated the workshops.
Now in our third season, Spring 2022, we continue to support teaching artists in the state with our wide coverage of topics to serve the needs of artists seeking professional development and networking opportunities. Kathleen Collier is the new North Carolina Arts Council Arts education director and accessibility coordinator who is now working with Teaching Artist Certificate Program director, Dr. Lenora Helm Hammonds.
