James E. Shepard Memorial Library’s Authors Club
Please join James E. Shepard Memorial Library as we host a virtual book talk with author and journalist, Adam Harris. Mr. Harris is a staff writer at The Atlantic where he has covered education and national politics since 2018. He was previously a reporter at the Chronicle of Higher Education and a 2021 New America Fellow and is the recipient of the Rising Star Award by the News Media Alliance.
Harris will discuss his book, "The State Must Provide: Why America’s Colleges Have Always Been Unequal – And How To Set Them Right." This event will be moderated by Dr. Shauntae Brown White, NCCU professor, Women’s Gender Studies coordinator, and author. The James E.
