North Carolina Central University (NCCU) is proud to announce a special exhibition featuring the work of NCCU alumnus Tobias Rose, founder of Kompleks Creative, a leading Durham-based design agency. Running from now through January 3, 2025, the exhibition will showcase Rose’s inspiring journey from student to successful entrepreneur, highlighting his creative contributions to both the local community and the broader design industry.
Tobias Rose’s unique blend of hip-hop culture, comic book artistry, and innovative business strategies has shaped Kompleks Creative into a leading creative agency, recognized for its innovative designs and community-focused approach. His commitment to fostering creativity, entrepreneurship, and community development has earned him recognition as a leader in Durham’s business and arts communities.

About Tobias Rose
Tobias Rose is a 2005 graduate of NCCU, where he earned a degree in Art with a focus in Visual Communications. He is the founder and creative director of Kompleks Creative, a successful Durham-based creative agency, and serves as a community leader through his involvement in initiatives like Black Wall Street and chair for the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce. Rose’s influence extends beyond his agency, as he continues to inspire young creatives through teaching and speaking engagements.
