Yolanda D Keller-Bell
Biography
Dr. Yolanda Keller-Bell is a speech-language pathologist and an associate professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. Her primary area of interest is pediatric communication disorders and working with diverse populations. Specifically, she is interested in language and literacy development in children with varying developmental disabilities such as Down Syndrome, fragile X syndrome, autism spectrum disorders, and emotional behavioral disorders.
Dr. Keller-Bell serves as the co-project director for two federally funded personnel training grants and is actively involved in training graduate scholars in special education (SPED) and speech-language pathology (SLP) to provide evidence-based practices for school-age children with high-intensity needs. Other areas of interest include inter-professional practice/education and disparities in services for diverse populations.
