Terrell T Gray
As the business officer for student access and success programs, Gray manages the effective operation and administration of financial affairs for the TRIO Student Acce[SSS] Program, Graham High TRIO Upward Bound Program, and Person County TRIO Upward Bound Program. Gray performs a range of financial and business-related duties such as accounting, budgeting, reconciling, auditing, and data reporting in alignment with university, state, and federal guidelines.
Before this role, Gray served as the associate director for student access and transition, assistant director, and coordinator for Student Accessibility Services (SAS) here at NCCU, respectively. In these roles, he oversaw the day-to-day operations for accommodations, assistive technology resources, and testing and note-taking services for SAS Scholars, championing campus-wide access for students with learning differences, documented disabilities, or medical conditions.
Gray also aided in managing over $600,000 in state, grant, and revenue funds. Moreover, Gray worked alongside the SAS director and team as a campus consultant for the Americans with Disability Act (ADA), Section 504, and accessibility best practices. He was primarily responsible for fully implementing the Eagle Accommodate (case management) system.
Before joining NCCU, Gray served in various roles at Bank of America, Geico, and Academy Sports and Outdoors, where he managed financial affairs.
Gray obtained his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Fort Valley State University. He is currently completing his master’s degree in business administration (M.B.A.) from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
