Mercury Evans brings a wealth of academic and practical experience to their role as coordinator for the Office of Student Accessibility Services. They earned their bachelor of science in psychology from Appalachian State University in 2022 and completed their master of education in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education (SAAHE) from UNC Greensboro in 2024.
During their graduate studies, Mercury developed a passion for supporting students, beginning as a graduate assistant in the Office of Accessibility Resources and Services at UNC Greensboro. There, they refined their skills in student advocacy and provided individualized support. This experience deepened Mercury's commitment to assisting students in achieving academic success.
In their current role, Mercury is dedicated to empowering students by facilitating access to various resources and support services. They collaborate closely with students, faculty, and staff to foster an environment conducive to academic and social success.
Outside of professional responsibilities, Mercury enjoys spending time with their partner and two dogs, Josie and Page. An avid crocheter, they also appreciate spontaneous road trips, exploring new places, and embracing adventure.
With their compassionate nature, advocacy experience, and strong commitment to student success, Mercury Evans continues to make a meaningful impact in higher education.
