Richelle Reid joined the North Carolina Central University School of Law Library in June 2020 as the assistant director of the Law Library. Prior to coming to NCCU, Reid worked nearly ten years at the Hugh F. MacMillan Law Library at Emory University School of Law.
During her tenure, she worked as a law librarian for research services and an adjunct professor teaching advanced legal research courses. She also served as the student services and user experience librarian, in which role she coordinated marketing and outreach events, including the library’s award-winning exam break activities. Additionally, she worked at Emory as a law library intern while completing her Master’s in Library and Information Science.
Reid is an active member of the Southeastern Chapter of the American Association of Law Libraries (SEAALL) and the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL). She has presented at regional and state conferences and local meetings, chaired numerous committees, and is a past president of the Atlanta Law Libraries Association.
