Ruby J Gerald
Ruby J. Gerald is an experienced health professional with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology from Fayetteville State University. Her career has been dedicated to health and community engagement.
In her role as a research review assistant and director of events and programs at the Epilepsy Foundation of America, Ruby supported grant review sessions and played a vital role in community health advocacy. She has also served as the NCI events manager and the CEO of the Chamber of Commerce, showcasing her leadership in the field.
Ruby's contributions to health research include co-authoring a publication titled "Rural Community Engagement for Health Disparities Research: The Unique Role of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU)" in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.
At North Carolina Central University (NCCU), Ruby has been a community health liaison and health educator. She coordinates a team working on the NCCU Family Diabetes Project, which focuses on educating underserved African Americans diagnosed with diabetes through an eight-week program.
