Lester Locklear
Lester Locklear brings a diverse academic and professional background to our institution. He holds an A.A.S. in Culinary Arts, which laid the foundation for his expertise in the culinary field. Building upon this, he earned a B.S. in Business Management, blending his culinary passion with business acumen. To further enhance his leadership and strategic skills, Lester completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A), equipping him with an understanding of organizational management and business strategy.
Lester additionally received a diploma and certificate as a sommelier from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (London) and the German Wine School in Koblenz, Germany. Lester’s unique combination of hospitality, culinary arts, business insight, and advanced management training allowed him to work in various elite resorts and restaurants in the industry. With over 20 years of professional experience, Lester Locklear has served 13 of those in higher education as an instructor and director at North Carolina Community College and North Carolina University systems.
