Jessica S Davis-Ganao
Dr. Ganao is an associate professor and chair in the Department of Criminal Justice at North Carolina Central University. She has been a faculty member of the faculty at NCCU for 18 years. While a faculty member, Dr. Ganao has been the director of graduate and undergraduate studies in the Department of Criminal Justice, which is the largest academic department at NCCU.
Dr. Ganao is passionate about student access, persistence and success. She has received grants to increase the affordability of classes for criminal justice students using open education resources. Recently, Dr. Ganao has led an effort to move the graduate courses in the Department of Criminal Justice to HyFLex to increase enrollment and access for graduate students. The Department of Criminal Justice under her leadership is championing the motto “Learn where you are!” Dr. Ganao is the first female and alumnus to be appointed chair of the Department of Criminal Justice at NCCU.
