Jalen Eady
Jalen Eady is a research assistant for the Julius L. Chambers Biomedical and Biotechnology Research Institute. He works alongside Dr. William Pilkington in the research/community engagement offices located in Kannapolis, NC (North Carolina Research Campus [NCRC]). Currently, he is assisting Dr. Pilkington in the study of the effects of long COVID in minority communities in the surrounding Kannapolis/Concord Area. He also helps to represent the university at community events throughout Concord and Kannapolis, helping to spread awareness of long COVID and recruiting for studies that are currently undergoing at the university. Additionally, Jalen is also the program coordinator for the Opioid Abatement Coordinating Center, communicating with the pilot projects from five universities that are a part of the NC Collaboratory.
Jalen graduated from North Carolina Central University in May of 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in English and is currently pursuing a master’s degree at UNC Greensboro.
