Jaime Ceballos is a passionate advocate for education and community empowerment and is proud to call Roxboro, North Carolina, his home. He earned his B.S. in Parks Recreation Management with a concentration in Community Recreation Event Planning, along with a B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG).
With a deep commitment to serving underrepresented communities, Jaime serves as the Person County TRIO Upward Bound college and advising specialist. He provides vital support to his alma mater, Person High School, directly impacting students' lives in his community.
Passionate about creating opportunities for first-generation, low-income, and marginalized students, Jaime has been instrumental in assisting with the development of initiatives like the first Latinx/Hispanic scholarship in Person County, NC.
As a former TRIO student himself, Jaime understands the transformative power of mentorship and support. He is eager to leverage his own experiences to provide academic, career, and college readiness support to high school students from underserved backgrounds, particularly targeting low-income and first-generation students. Jaime is grateful for the guidance he received during his time as a TRIO student in college and is determined to pay it forward, ensuring that every student has the resources and support they need to reach their full potential.
