David A Green
David Green is a full professor at North Carolina Central School of Law. Professor Green was born in Bronx, New York. He earned his undergraduate degree in 1985 from Georgetown University, where he received his B.A. with a major in Government, with a Public Administration concentration, and a minor in Sociology. He then attended Georgetown University Law Center, where he received his J.D. in May of 1988. He also earned an LL.M. in Legal Education from Temple University School of Law in 1994. Professor Green clerked with the Honorable John Garrett Penn, of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, from 1988 to 1990. He then worked as an associate with the law firm of Kaye, Scholer, Fierman, Hays & Handler, in Washington, D.C. After serving as an assistant United States attorney in the District of Delaware, he joined the faculty at NCCU School of Law in 1999. Professor Green has taught Civil Procedure, Torts, Employment Discrimination and Disability Law. He served as the associate dean for Academic Affairs from August 2005 to June 2009. He also served as the chair of the UNC System Faculty Assembly, from July 2018 to June 2020. In addition, he served as the pro bono general counsel of the National Bar Association, from July 2020 to July 2021. He is on the Board of Directors of the National Bar Institute.
