Dayane Friedkin is the program coordinator for the Research Centers in Minority Institutions (RCMI) at North Carolina Central University (NCCU). She focuses on fostering collaboration, enhancing research infrastructure, and advancing health disparities research. In this role, she oversees program management, ensures effective coordination, and supports the development of underrepresented researchers. Dayane is skilled in liaising with faculty, department chairs, and university administration.
Before joining NCCU, Dayane served as a city articulator for UNICEF in Gravatá, Pernambuco, Brazil. In this role, she facilitated collaboration between UNICEF and local communities to advocate for children's rights, strengthening her commitment to community engagement and equipping her with the skills to manage complex initiatives. Her experience as a project manager for the city of Gravatá further provided her with invaluable skills in team management and project execution.
With seven years of experience in education, Dayane has developed a strong foundation in communication, patience, and compassion — qualities that continue to inform her work at NCCU.
