Mr. Thornton was appointed by the Speaker of the House to serve a full four-year term from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2027. Antwan Thornton is a graduate of the North Carolina Central University School of Law and is a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Antwan has patent preparation and prosecution experience in memory chip fabrication, autonomous vehicle technology, flash memory, phase-change memory, electrical circuits, networking, semiconductor devices, power management, black box technology, data encryption and global positioning systems. As a member of the hiring committee, Antwan shares the responsibility of recruiting and interviewing potential attorney hires for the firm. Based in North Carolina, Antwan manages the Brooks, Cameron & Huebsch office located in Research Triangle Park.
