Aaron M Moore
Dr. Aaron Moore is a dedicated medical researcher specializing in epidemiology and diagnostic testing, with a focus on improving public health outreach. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biophysics from Johns Hopkins University in 2010 and his M.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2017. Following this, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship in epidemiology at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS).
Since joining North Carolina Central University (NCCU) in 2023, Dr. Moore has played a pivotal role in expanding community health fairs in underserved areas, overseeing on-site diagnostic testing, vaccine distribution, and health education services. He has also led efforts to evaluate and enhance the impact of these initiatives on community health outcomes.
As a member of NCCU’s RCMI (Research Centers in Minority Institutions) program, Dr. Moore has found a unique platform to drive meaningful change in addressing health disparities. Being part of RCMI has allowed him to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams dedicated to advancing health equity and providing innovative solutions for historically marginalized populations. His work with the program, particularly as co-lead of the Clinical Research and Implementation Core (CRIC) of the PBERN grant, empowers him to bridge research and real-world impact, furthering NCCU’s mission of serving communities in need while enhancing public health through science and outreach.
