The residential students of North Carolina Central University, in order to provide fair and equal representation for on-campus residents, to be a liaison between residents and university administrators and an advocate of residual necessities, to provide diverse and engaging programming and leadership opportunities, and to improve the residential environment through collaborative efforts with campus partners, have established a constitution granted through the authority of North Carolina Central University.
Purpose
The purpose of the organization is to be a liaison between residents and the university administration, as well as to provide support to the residents. The Residence Hall Association provides this link by focusing on four main areas:
- Advocacy for student-centered residence policies/procedures/guidelines.
- Co-curricular programming that focuses on educational advancement, social awareness, diversity and community service
- Leadership training and opportunities to develop and execute skills
- Representing general issues and concerns within the residence halls to appropriate offices.
The Residence Hall Association will foster and maintain a cohesive and visible relationship with the Department of Residential Life, to create an enriching residential experience on the campus of North Carolina Central University.
