Graduate Hall Coordinator for Front-Desk Operations (1)
- Oversee desk assistants and set up front-desk scheduling for the year
- Hire, select and train front-desk assistants on operations, customer service and departmental processes
- Utilize the scheduling system Time Clock Wizard to schedule all student employees, including resident assistants, for the department
- Co-supervise office front-desk assistants
- Help coordinate move-in operations during the Fall and Spring
- Provide information and training to all desk assistants
- Communicate with students and parents in person and via phone
- Troubleshoot and deescalate student and parent concerns
- Implement and establish processes for office and desk assistants
- Maintain desks in various locations by making sure student employees have access and supplies to handle student concerns
Graduate Hall Coordinator for Programming and Community Development (3)
- Lead students by role modeling involvement in the residential and campus communities
- Provide support to resident assistants (RAs) in the coordination of residence hall programming
- Work with other program coordinators to implement large-scale program efforts for Residential Life
- Attend programming meetings for the Division of Students Affairs and Residential Life
- Helps the GHC for front-desk operations with scheduling of RAs for duty and desk operations within each hub
- Implement monthly residential education programs in each hub
- Provide information to resident assistants for bulletin boards and resource boards
- Support students with intentional conversations and hall gatherings
- Pick up shopping supplies from local stores and distribute programming supplies to residents
- Manage reservation systems of common area spaces within residence halls
- Support and assess residence hall programming efforts and customer service initiatives to ensure the effectiveness of programs and services
Graduate Hall Coordinator for Care and Conduct (3)
- Provide education interventions to minimize student behavioral issues
- Advise and refer students on matters of personal, social and academic concerns
- Mediate roommate conflicts and act as a conflict coach for the department
- Report and document all violations of community standards, residential life policies, student code of conduct standards, university regulations, and state and local laws in Maxient
- Carry out crisis response and care plans as situations arise
- Serve as a hearing officer for minor first-time policy violations
- Meet with residents to help with conflict management skills and communication styles
- Give presentations and trainings on mediation techniques and de-escalation techniques
Graduate Hall Coordinator for Residence Hall Administrative Operations (3)
- Administer the operational and facilities function of the residence halls
- Coordinate occupancy checks, health and safety inspections, and opening/closing and consolidation processes within each area
- Manage occupancy and support students with the room change process
- Report student issues through appropriate channels in a timely manner
- Coordinate residence hall opening, closing, and break coverage operations
Graduate Hall Coordinator for Marketing and Technology Support (1)
- Responsible for marketing and updating social media platforms for Residential Life
- Responsible for creating and producing all marketing material, including apparel, flyers and signs
- Understand the institutional brand and meet with the Division's marketing director to ensure we are in compliance with the institutional brand and vision
- Create video content to support student learning efforts within the residence halls
- Ensure all telephones and computers are updated in partnership with the technology specialist for the Division
- Ensure students and staff have technical support in the residence halls
