The department of Student Development and Support provides support, guidance, programming, and advocacy for students by addressing how social, natural, and built campus environments affect students’ health and well-being.
North Carolina Central University will transition to Condition 2 (Suspended Operations) of the Adverse Weather and Emergency Event Policy effective through 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22. The university is closely monitoring conditions on and around campus, as well as potential impacts from Duke Energy and other service providers. If necessary, Condition 2 may be extended.

The Intercultural Center provides a space where students of all races, ethnicities, sexualities, nationalities, abilities and cultures are celebrated.
Our LGBTA Resource Center was the first established at an HBCU in the Southeast and is only one of four of its kind at an HBCU.
The Department of Student Development and Support provides support to numerous student organizations on campus that highlight the diverse interests and needs of NCCU students. We provide advising for ASFABA (the Association of Students for a Better Africa), the Caribbean Student Association, COLORS LGBTQIA+ Student Organization, the LGBTQIA+ Grad Student Organization, the Native American and Indigenous Student Association and Raices Latino Student Organization.
