The first year of our program serves as the foundation year, where students dive into the fundamentals of various creative disciplines. During this crucial period, all B.A. in Art students will embark on a journey of artistic exploration through the following courses:
Design thinking concepts are infused into our 2D and 3D classes, creating a holistic learning experience. These concepts will be reinforced throughout related sophomore and upper-division courses. As part of their first-year preparation for advanced studies, all Art and Design majors now take Computer Graphics I: 2D Media. Successful completion of these foundational courses will serve as the formal structure upon which their chosen major concentration will be built.
During their sophomore year, Art and Design majors begin to take courses tailored to their selected major concentration. Furthermore, the revisions to our program have introduced additional courses that enhance all concentrations, including Digital Introduction to 3D Modeling and Creative Digital Photography. This ensures that our students receive a comprehensive education that encompasses imaging and 3D digital arts, with the latest advancements in their respective fields.
