Career Promise Program Benefits
Students who successfully complete all program requirements during their four years of enrollment in NCCU’s School of Business will be guaranteed an offer of employment in their respective industry.
Career Promise Program
The Career Promise Program at NCCU's School of Business offers incoming freshmen who earn their business degree a guaranteed job within six months of graduating. If the student meets all program requirements but is not able to find employment, they can choose to receive help with student loan payments or get tuition benefits for NCCU's Master of Business Administration program.
Program Requirements
Accept the conditions of the Career Promise Program Agreement during the first year at NCCU.
Register and create online profiles with Handshake and LinkedIn.
Attend and participate in at least four Career Development events/workshops per semester.
Meet with a member of the Office of Student Professional Development once per semester.
Complete at least two designated leadership events sponsored by the University or the School of Business per year.
Complete an internship aligning with the School of Business major prior to graduation.
Maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.2.
Complete a bachelor’s degree within 4 years.
Provide evidence of actively seeking employment 8 months prior to and 6 months following graduation.
Accept employment offers with compensation packages that are commensurate with salaries in their business major.
