General Deadline Information
North Carolina Central University School of Law’s application deadline for the fall enrollment period is April 30. All application materials for first-time applicants, re-applicants, international applicants, and prior law school applicants must be received by the Office of Admissions by this deadline.
In addition, all transcripts and letters of recommendation must be received and processed by the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) by April 30. All application materials submitted through LSAC’s Credential Assembly Service (CAS) will be deemed postmarked on the date that is time-stamped by LSAC. LSAC requires 10 to 14 days to process your information.
For transfer applicants, initial application materials must be received by the Office of Admission no later than April 30. Transfer applicants must submit an official transcript of all law school coursework through CAS by June 30. In addition, transfer applicants must submit a letter of good standing from the prior law school after the completion of all law school coursework. The letter of good standing must be mailed directly to the Office of Admission and postmarked no later than June 30 of the year of anticipated enrollment.
It is your responsibility to verify that the application and all required supporting materials have been submitted properly through LSAC. It is imperative that you confirm that your CAS report file is complete and has been sent to the NCCU School of Law. Any material submitted after the deadline will not be processed and your file will be deemed incomplete and denied, notwithstanding the date when the Office of Admissions requests the transmission from LSAC.
