Communications and Marketing FAQs
Info Accordions
TeamDynamix tickets are required for all requests for creative services and marketing support from our office.
The ticket system alerts the full team of your request and allows us to share project updates seamlessly. Upon receipt of your ticket, the team will review it, and an appropriate staff member will reply with the next steps or request for more information if needed.
- Sign into your myEOL account using your credentials.
- Click on this TeamDynamix link.
- Locate and click on the ticket submitted; you will find the document or proof under the attachment header, on the right-hand side of the ticket.
There are a few tools to distribute information to the campus community.
- Campus Announcements: Managed by ITS, this bi-weekly e-newsletter provides a snapshot of upcoming events and program updates. They are distributed on Mondays and Thursdays. View distribution information, or submit a myEOL announcement request.
- Orca TV: This is the university’s digital display, in-residence hall television station and residential hall streaming platform. OrcaTV publishes still images as well as video content for your program. Submit content.
- Digital Board: Located on the corner of Lawson and Fayetteville streets, directly in front of the Farrison-Newton Communications, the digital board showcases still images of prominent events and university updates. To submit your event for consideration, visit our graphic design service request and select "Digital Board" under "Graphic Design Request."
To submit your event or program update for external promotion consideration, please complete a TeamDynamix form.
OrcaTV is the university’s digital display platform, in-residence hall television station and residential hall streaming platform.
OrcaTV publishes still images in two (2) dimensions (landscape and portrait) as well as videos uploaded to YouTube. All videos must be uploaded to YouTube and that link must be used to upload the content to OrcaTV.
Visit the Brands page of the NCCU.edu website for downloadable versions of the university logos. Any entity outside of the university can visit nccu.photoshelter.com and click on the brands folder containing university and department logos.
You may order these documents through NCCU’s Central Graphics Copy Center. Please contact [email protected] or 919-530-6835 for more information.
Faculty and staff are encouraged to give interviews to the media when asked about matters within their field of expertise and to provide said information in a timely and courteous manner.
While you do not need permission from the Office of Communications and Marketing (OCM) before agreeing to an interview about a good news story, please alert both the OCM and the director of communications and marketing in your division/school/college (if applicable) so we may prepare you for the discussion as needed and monitor and refer to the article.
As a reminder, the chancellor is the official spokesperson of the university. If you are asked to comment on behalf of the university, rather than as a subject matter expert in your field of expertise, please contact OCM at [email protected] or 919-530-6295. The chancellor has designated the chief brand officer as the official spokesperson in matters of weather emergencies, crisis situations and other occasions requiring immediate public address.
The Office of Communications and Marketing does not provide printing within our office. If you need quick printing of a flyer, letterhead, business cards, or other items, please contact Central Graphics Copy Center. If you have a large printing need such as a multi-page publication, direct mail postcard, banners, or tablecloths, we can recommend a licensed business on the NCCU vendor list.
