Student Opportunities

Are you looking for employment while attending NCCU? Information Technology Services (ITS) provides opportunities for NCCU students to gain professional work experience.  Working on campus is an excellent way to apply the skills you've learned in the classroom in a professional work setting, network with professionals, and build your resume.

There are a variety of positions available within ITS. Although some positions are more technical than others, students do not need to be Computer Science majors to apply. ITS looks for applicants who are interested in learning and working with people and who value the technology needs on our campus.

The following are the conditions of employment for all student employees:

• Must have a 2.5 GPA
• Must attend the mandatory 2-day kick-off Student Employment Boot Camp
• Must remain a registered student of NCCU
• Must be currently enrolled as a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student
• Must be able to work scheduled hours
• Mandatory 48-hour notice for academic absences
• Must be willing to work shifts during exam weeks
• Must report to work on time or arrange a substitute
