M.P.A. Program Outcomes

The NCCU M.P.A. program learning outcomes are for students to be able to:

  1. Analyze policies and programs
  2. Compose communications for public administration
  3. Improve management for organizational effectiveness and public service responsiveness
  4. Develop leadership, ethics, and professionalism
  5. Combine theory and practice in scholarship and service

Graduation Rates

The NCCU M.P.A. program was the largest in the UNC system in 2023–2024, with 55 degrees awarded.

Of the 85 students who started in the academic year 2018–2019, 69% (59 students) graduated within 2 years, 94% (80 students) graduated within 3 years, and 99% (84 students) graduated within 5 years. 

We have successful alumni in almost every public service sector. Of the graduates in 2023–2024, 40% entered work with federal, state, or local governments, 17% work in the non-profit sector, and 33% entered the private sector.
