Business Administration, MBA

Program Overview

The Master of Business Administration program is designed to prepare students to advance their careers by strengthening their business acumen. It also provides them with the capacity to earn more through enhanced skill-building.

Prospective employers often seek individuals with advanced business education, especially for managerial positions. Students can also start their own business through education that strengthens their business acumen and potential for leadership in an emerging market.

The School of Business offers programs leading to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, the joint Master of Business Administration/Juris Doctor (JD/MBA) degree, and the joint Master of Business Administration/Master of Information Science (MBA/MIS) degree.

Online Option Available

The graduate program in the School of Business is fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International).

Joint Degrees

Joint Master of Business Administration/Juris Doctor

A master's degree in business administration and a degree in law provide a unique and powerful combination for elective leadership in either field. Students must first be admitted to the Law School and then apply to the School of Business.

Joint Master of Business Administration/Master of Information Science

This program allows students to simultaneously pursue the Master of Business Administration degree and the Master of Information Science (MIS) degree in less time than is required to earn both degrees separately. To be admitted to the joint degree program, a student must first be admitted to the MBA program and then apply to the MIS program.

 

Admission Requirements

The following are required for all applicants:

  • Online graduate admission application
  • $50 non-refundable application fee
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Official transcripts of all schools attended (if you earned your degree from a non-U.S. school, please see the international applicant requirements)
  • Personal statement
  • Resume
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00
  • GRE or GMAT (no more than 5 years old)
  • An interview may be required
