This is a 10-day residential program for rising 11th- and 12th-grade high school students. Students learn about biotechnology, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. They will also be with a local biotechnology company and have one off-campus social outing.

NCCU TRIO Upward Bound Programs will host its annual summer program for students from June 17–July 26. The program will include students attending class, extra-curricular activities, and personal and professional development seminars. Students will commute to campus for the first 3 weeks and live in the residential hall for the last 3 weeks.

Through our Law School Clinical Legal Education department, we offer the Legal Eagle Law Camp, which is a week-long summer day camp for rising 8th through 10th graders. During the camp, scholars will enjoy a fun-filled week learning about the legal profession through our Legal Eagles. Through interactive activities, hands-on simulations, and team building, scholars will learn what it’s like to be a lawyer. Scholars will be exposed to a wide range of law practice areas and career paths while also learning the importance of citizenship, ethics, resilience, and pursuing their passion, all while having fun.

The Peggy Ward Financial Education Center (PWFEC) Wealth Management Camp will be a week-long in-person experience for high school students to learn critical elements of financial education. Students will expand their horizons by working as part of a team in group challenges with others. They will increase their financial know-how and strengthen their communication, leadership, team building, professional development skills, and more! Students will compete for team/individual prizes and scholarships and receive camp swag, a t-shirt and a certificate of completion.

Our goal at the Eagle Entrepreneurship Summer Camp is to help high school students get exposed to entrepreneurship by starting a real company. Students will learn skills like innovation, creative thinking, problem-solving, and leadership to develop an entrepreneurial mindset. The camp will run for two weeks in June or July and will walk students through the entrepreneurial process. By the end of the program, students will:

• Have a clearly articulated problem they are solving
• Understand their target customer
• Get real customer feedback on their offering
• Develop a marketing and sales strategy
• Understand how to propose ideas and pitch to industry leaders
• Have an opportunity to generate initial sales
• Learn basic prompt engineering skills.
