Sharon Jackson is a native of Fuquay-Varina, NC. She is a passionate public health professional with over 15 years of experience. In 2004, she completed her undergraduate studies in Community Health Education at North Carolina Central University. With a desire to influence policy and systems change, she later earned a Master of Public Administration in 2011 from Strayer University.
The scope of her work includes contact tracing and disease investigation, program planning and implementation, and prevention and management of chronic conditions. As the diabetes prevention coordinator for the NC Division of Public Health, she worked with organizations implementing the National Diabetes Prevention Program and provided technical assistance and support to promote sustainability across the State.
Expanding her statewide leadership in December 2018, she established a national public health consulting company, Before Tomorrow, Inc. Currently, she contracts with the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors, providing specialized technical assistance nationwide to organizations with cooperative agreements from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
In her spare time, she acts as an amateur horticulturist. She also enjoys spending time with her son and fiancé. Sharon stands ready to serve and looks for innovative ways to improve the health of the communities in which we live, work, and play.
