Marcel McCrea is a native of Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from NCCU in 2001 and from NCCU School of Law in 2004. Marcel currently resides in Charlotte, where he is the managing member of Phillips and McCrea, PLLC, a premier boutique law firm. His primary focus is litigating complex personal injury and wrongful death cases. Throughout his legal career, Marcel has recovered millions of dollars for his clients and is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a prestigious group of trial lawyers who have won multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements.
When not fighting for truth, Marcel lives a life filled with service. He is the president of the Board of Directors of S.T.A.R.S. Charlotte, a non-profit organization that strives to help Black students go to college for free. He is a life member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. He has gone on mission trips providing community service in Kenya and the Dominican Republic and is an annual sponsor for Patrick’s Kids Foundation, a nonprofit that focuses on educational enrichment for Haitian students. Marcel also provides pro bono services to indigent clients and contributes time and resources to a host of nonprofit organizations.
Marcel is married to his wife Adrienne and has two children, Madison and Carter. In his spare time, Marcel enjoys globetrotting, cycling and running.
