James W. Harrington, Jr. serves as a Client Project Manager within the U.S. General Services Administration Federal Acquisition Service in Washington, D.C. He has an excess of ten (10) years of federal experience including the full range of business development management, client project management, acquisition support and coalition building.
In this capacity, he has served as the GSA Client Project Manager on numerous intergovernmental projects in an effort to coordinate and facilitate GSA/FAS programs/solutions, aid client agency mission critical requirements and strengthen the working relationship between GSA and its respective government agency partners.
His client agency partners include the U.S. Dept. of Energy (DOE), U.S. Dept. of the Air Force (USAF), U.S. State Department (DOS), and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security with a combined portfolio of over $4 billion dollars.
He is a proud initiate of the Gamma Beta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated (Spring 2002) and is heavily involved in various community endeavors, including the North Carolina Central University Metro DC Alumni Chapter, National Black MBA Association DC Chapter (Executive Board Member), the African American Federal Executive Association, the Sigma Alpha Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha (Waldorf, Md), and the Social Justice Ministry of the New Hope Church of God (Waldorf, Md).
He began his career with GSA through the Federal Career Intern Program in 2010. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Public Administration from North Carolina Central University (2003) and also holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Maryland University College (2015).
James is happily married to Elizabeth Harrington and are the proud parents of two children, Naavah and James, III.
