Starting in the fall of 2006, North Carolina Central University School of Law’s Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Law Review (BPLR) was created to serve as a unique and cutting-edge journal that sought to make substantial contributions to the development of biotechnology and pharmaceutical law.
Starting in the fall of 2017, North Carolina Central University School of Law’s Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Law Review (BPLR) transitioned into the North Carolina Central University Science and Intellectual Property Law Review (SIPLR).
While SIPLR will focus on accepting and publishing a wide array of science-focused legal research writing, it will also publish work related to intellectual property (IP). IP is a fast-growing field within the law, and the NCCU School of Law has sought to become a forerunner in minority representation within the IP community. To achieve this goal, SIPLR will publish professional and student works that analyze the areas of copyrights, trademarks, patents and more.
